Join us in welcoming our new Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer – Mr. Edward (Ed) Harris! For more than 14 years, Edward served in leadership roles within area community foundations. Most recently, at the Sacramento Region Community Foundation, Edward served as the Director of Finance and then the Chief Financial Officer. We’re grateful to have his leadership as we look toward our next decade of service.
Edward has served as a consultant to the Sonoma County Community Foundation and worked at the East Bay Community Foundation for ten years, including two as its Chief Financial Officer and eight as its Controller.
His professional experience also includes service as Controller and Chief Financial Officer for various clients at MattMar, a management consulting firm; Controller of Whalen & Co., a wireless telecommunications development firm; and Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of Subsidizeit.com, an internet-based fundraising site for schools, nonprofits and religious organizations.
Edward is a member of Fiscal and Administrative Officers Group, an association for community foundation finance professionals, and Mission Investor Exchange, which connects investment professionals who are interested in creating positive environmental and social change. In the past, he has served as Treasurer of the East Bay Foundation on Aging.
We are grateful to Scott Sent who served as Interim CFO at a time of great transition. We were fortunate to have his leadership and are excited that he will continue to partner with us in his original role of Controller.
