LA CADA launched the Greater Whittier LGBTQ Center, the city’s first space dedicated to culturally affirming services for LGBTQIA+ community members.
More than 300 participants accessed SUD treatment, mental health care, harm reduction, peer support and housing/employment services; 100% of staff were trained in LGBTQIA+ cultural competency; a train‑the‑trainer model launched; Spanish materials met the needs of a 65% Spanish‑speaking community; and 15 peer leaders supported 100+ people.
