Adventist Health Clearlake Hospital’s most significant achievement was securing a contract with Ukiah Recovery Center, allowing patients to be referred directly to detox services.
The partnership streamlined pathways to recovery and expanded regional collaboration into Mendocino County, where six Community Health Workers were trained. Five staff members began training toward Certified Peer Support Specialist credentials and one earned certification—the first in the hospital’s history—while three clients began their own certification journeys. A hospital‑wide street medicine training increased awareness of outreach’s role in recovery and fostered a more informed, compassionate culture toward vulnerable populations.
