CCAPP Education built specialty education pathways that strengthen the behavioral health workforce in diversity, medication‑assisted recovery and harm reduction.
Fifteen experts and community voices reviewed credential requirements; three new educational pathways prepared ~10,000 certified SUD counselors across 22 counties to meet specialty standards; and groundwork was laid for more responsive, accessible credentials and training across California’s harm reduction and treatment systems.
