Steering Committee members are volunteers who have a commitment to implement and execute on strategies to reduce African American child death rates in Sacramento County. These volunteers represent a diverse cross-section of interests related to the four key drivers of African American child mortality in Sacramento County. Interested Sacramento County community members who believe in the mission of the Steering Committee are invited to apply for membership on the Steering Committee. Those with experience in one of the four issue areas are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Center is now accepting applications on behalf of the Steering Committee to fill the following open constituency group seats:
Please submit a completed application form with answers to the applicant questions and include two letters of recommendation to The Center. All applicants are required to attend a Steering Committee orientation at Sierra Health Foundation. Please e-mail any questions.
Applications may be e-mailed or mailed or delivered to The Center at 1321 Garden Highway, Sacramento, CA 95833. All applicants will be notified of the selection decision within one month.
Final selection of Steering Committee members will be based on criteria that considers a number of variables in an effort to achieve broad and inclusive representation.
