Partner involvement at The Center comes from a variety of sectors, including public and private funders; community members; community organizations; national, state and local government; nonprofits; and businesses. Each partner offers unique insight, perspective and resources that collectively make the work of The Center possible.
The Center’s vision is for all people in California to live healthful lives. As we strive to improve health outcomes and promote health equity, the following focus areas guide our grantmaking programs and initiatives.
We seek answers, share ideas and develop innovative solutions to improve health and well-being for all, and provide the space and environment for others to do the same.
We believe high-quality and accessible mental and behavioral health care are essential components of a healthy community.
We support the development of effective leaders of nonprofits and public agencies who are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of their constituents.
We work to eliminate the health disparities that disproportionately affect low-income and rural communities, and communities of color.
We support, create and scale efforts that help vulnerable young people find healthy developmental paths.
