Organizations holding events at The Center may charge admission or meeting fees only to cover direct meeting costs, such as for materials and meals.
Guide dogs or other assistance animals for people with disabilities are the only animals allowed in The Center.
The Center manager must be notified of cancellations at least three business days before the event.
All event participants are asked to keep their cell phones turned off or on vibrate mode during meetings. Cell phones may be used in the lobby and in outdoor areas.
Organizations using The Center may use corporate sponsorships to cover direct event expenses; however, they must be approved by The Center manager in advance.
Organizations that invite or expect news media at an event must notify The Center manager at least two business days before the event.
Parking is limited in Merced. Meeting participants are encouraged to carpool or use public transportation. Parking is available in parking lots on 16th Avenue and Canal Street.
The Center is a nonsmoking facility. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.
The Center’s meeting rooms are available to nonprofit organizations whose vision and goals are compatible with The Center’s. The Center is not available for commercial, political, private or religious events. Nondenominational faith-based organizations with goals compatible to The Center’s are welcome to use the meeting space. Due to the number of requests for space, we are not able to accommodate recurring meetings, such as monthly board meetings.
